textual relations

Scott Johnson - The Voice of Sanity

Kem Meyer introduced this guy’s blog a few months ago.  he made my must read list by his second post.  Now he’s up to 6 and it drives me nuts that he doesn’t blog more.

So, start your day with a good laugh and go read his post about having text and our textual relations (yes, it is exactly what it sounds like).  Not only is it funny - it’s spot on.

BTW - might as well read the other 5 posts too.  They’re worth it.  Start with 1 - it’s name is blog so you know what he’s trying to do.

You’re welcome.

(oh, yeah.  kid warning - - you’re gonna find a few cuss words here… )

vince antonucci - one of my favorite bloggers

Vince Antonucci - one of my favorite bloggers

Ok, i’m trying really hard to not just blog about other bloggers.  I have recently added a widget to my blog and facebook that features my favorite recent posts to help me be a better blogger.  So, be sure to check those out from time to time.  But I have to recommend this one to everyone.

Some of you have already found him.  His name is Vince Antonucci.  He is the  lead pastor at Forefront Church in Virginia Beach, Va.  On their church web site it says, “a church for the bad, the broken and the bored”.  This man makes me cry on a regular basis.  I want to make a difference like this.  Here’s a tease… he has church services in bars.  He was also the one who wrote about misplacing his little boy (I mentioned it in a blog a few weeks ago.  Pastor B mentioned this same post during one of his recent messages.)

Add him to your google reader.  He’ll definitely challenge your preconceptions about what exactly God does and doesn’t do.

friday (now wednesday) morning reads…

I forgot to post this last Friday…. here are a couple of good reads…

  1. Katya Andresen gets some outstanding marketing pointers from her 4 year old little girl in her post: My four year old knows bad marketing.
  2. Last night was talking to Pastor B’s new assistant, Lori, and suggested she should start a blog. She announced decidedly, “I’m going to do that tonight!” I thought (to myself)… Wow, really? It’s 9:30 at night and we’re still at church you know. So, I smiled and said (out loud this time), “Yay!” This morning at 7:30 I had an email from her announcing her new blog! WOW!!! She’s already gettin’ things done PB!
