so, it’s saturday. our easter series, catalyst, starts tomorrow. i just finished this about 5 minutes ago. [--!!!--] i think this is about as close as i have ever cut it.

this is our cross. one of our fabulously talented rockers, ruffin jarman, built this for us last year for our legacy series. it is made out of rail road ties, smells like creosote (which i love - - i know, wierd) and it weighs a TON!!! ruffin is coming by today to help us put it up again. i love, love, love this this cross. it is such a piece of art - ruffin rocks.
on a side note… the cross lives outside when not it use. not covered up or anything. that’s the beauty of rail road ties. but ummmm….

…this is what it looks like outside today. it has been raining hard for a long time. i didn’t know it was supposed to rain. i am sooooooo glad we decided to go ahead and bring the cross in yesterday. that would have been a sad disappointment. but alas, the cross is dry and will be standing on sunday. i can’t wait. [note to self... check the weather report next time you are thinking about putting the cross up.]
k, gotta rock. lots to do.
…it’s an especially great time
of year to reach out to the lost.
lots of people come to church at
easter that don’t normally attend.
SO, i want to know…
how has god been using you to reach out to others?
how is he making you a catalyst for change in your world?
i’d love to hear some stories… please, don’t be shy.
