, and 15 more….

that’s how many blog posts i have in my drafts.  c3 was awesome.  unleashed was amazing.  i have stuff swirling around in my head and my heart that i haven’t figured out how to put out there.  right now it’s a 20 post book.  no one reads those.

what i’m doing/thinking today…

  • cleaning up - man, i create a lot of messes around here
  • catching up - ummmm yeah.  3 podcasts behind… [yikes]
  • can’t continue the “up” theme i just started, darn it.  sooooo….
  • need to touch base with my team in a more tangible way… brain storming
  • great to meet bloggers face to face at unleashed. wish i had gone to the blogging breakout, though.  got to talk to brad and got to say hi to tony morgan.  sometimes it’s hard being a girl in a man’s world.  there’s always that weird, don’t do anything they might misinterpret, thing going on.  not that there was… but, you know.  it’s super important to be careful, being human and all.  occasionally, unintentionally, i’m not.  i’m a people person - it’s very frustrating sometimes.
  • celebrated daylight savings time by buying a new pair of running shoes.  been eating good and exercising for a week now.  jeans are a little looser today.
  • cam and ernie ran with me yesterday after my beloved tweets talked me down from eating bad food.  thanks, guys.  yet another invaluable use for twitter.
  • i love twitter.
  • sooooo glad so many of our team got to go to unleashed.  great times… great memories.

thank you for stopping by to read.  ya’ll rock.

chili’s dinner highlites

- 10 year old boy walks up to johnny to tell him he is required to eat the bacon on his burger last. [awkward] - johnny threatens forstner with a knife through the eye when he tried to pilfer a fry. [scary] - waitress gives american idol caliber audition to table next to us with whitney version of happy birthday when her voice cracks - hard. all the while her one backup singer remains silent looking at the floor. [embaracing for her - bloggable for me] :-D
k- we’re hittin’ the road again in about 10.

if you can’t love ‘em in… lug ‘em in

one of my most amazing talents is fixing one typo by creating a new one that slips under the radar. though i’m certain no one around the office rembers any of them, i’m certain a guest speaker or two may.

so, this week, i have taken my talent to a hole notha’ level. i printed out the bulletins for lori last week and noticed that one of the text boxes was too small which, of course cut off the end of the sentence. so, i fixed it thusly…

lug em in

if you can’t love ‘em in… lug ‘em in. [[cheeeeeze & crackers]]

ahhh, the smell of creosote

catalyst

so, it’s saturday.  our easter series, catalyst, starts tomorrow.  i just finished this about 5 minutes ago.  [--!!!--]  i think this is about as close as i have ever cut it.

cross

this is our cross.  one of our fabulously talented rockers, ruffin jarman, built this for us last year for our legacy series.  it is made out of rail road ties, smells like creosote (which i love - - i know, wierd) and it weighs a TON!!! ruffin is coming by today to help us put it up again.  i love, love, love this this cross. it is such a  piece of art - ruffin rocks.

on a side note… the cross lives outside when not it use.  not covered up or anything.  that’s the beauty of rail road ties. but ummmm….

raining

…this is what it looks like outside today.  it has been raining hard for a long time.  i didn’t know it was supposed to rain.  i am sooooooo glad we decided to go ahead and bring the cross in yesterday.  that would have been a sad disappointment.  but alas, the cross is dry and will be standing on sunday.  i can’t wait. [note to self... check the weather report next time you are thinking about putting the cross up.]

k, gotta rock.  lots to do.

 …it’s an especially great time
of year to reach out to the lost.
lots of people come to church at
easter that don’t normally attend.
SO, i want to know…

how has god been using you to reach out to others?
how is he making you a catalyst for change in your world?
i’d love to hear some stories… please, don’t be shy.
