don't let the smile fool you.... it's coooolllld.
trying to keep as much of myself in the water as possible. water is warm.... air is c-c-c-cold-d-d and i'm off... this is the first of 3 legs. i turned right at that triangle out there, then right at another just like it, then back to the dock.
finally. tired. really tired. but well hydrated... lol. this is probably right before i realized i forgot to put my number on my bike. had to run out of the transition area, retrieve my number, come back and put it on the bike. total transition time... 7 minutes. grrrrrr.
just starting out.... trying to recover from the swim. and, holy headwinds! i was beginning to think i might finish this race at midnight. ;) after the turn around... still running. i only walked at the water stations. :) home stretch... quarter mile to go.
these guys were awesome!!!!! ran with me all the way in. amazing how much faster you can run when you have company. :) done, done and done. yesssss! my favorite part of this pic is cameron running behind me. see him back there? i love that boy. ahhhhh!!!!!
done... completely done. and, hungry! where's the food tent? love this boy. he took about half of these pics.
